Job Description
The Product Manager Expert is responsible for defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of one or more products in Allstate s growing product portfolio. The Product Manager Expert manages strategic product vision, product discovery, roadmaps, and backlog to maximize the customer and enterprise value provided by their product. Successful Product Managers help to identify assumptions and validate those assumptions using product discovery techniques. The Product Manager Expert is responsible for working closely with key stakeholders and partners, ensuring the successful definition and execution of go-to market and communications strategies for their products.

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $112,000.00 - 196,750.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

Successful Product Managers help to identify assumptions and validate those assumptions using product discovery techniques. The Product Manager Expert is responsible for working closely with key stakeholders and partners, ensuring the successful definition and execution of go-to market and communications strategies for their products.
Key Responsibilities:听
- Contribute towards creating the product strategy for one or more products in our growing digital product portfolio.听
- Authors, tests, and accepts stories.听
- Use customer feedback, detailed market analysis, and data gathering to provide recommendations on decisions about product strategy.听
- Define and manage metrics to measure the success of your efforts and to inform the overall product strategy.听
- Represent the voice of the customer; invest significant time with current and potential customers to understand their needs and habits.听
- Engage in discovery/test & learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction.听
- Provide input on decomposing complex problems into smaller manageable tasks by creating and prioritizing a backlog for the Product Team.听
- Assist with managing the product backlog, contribute towards creating an effective vision and provide timely stakeholder feedback on development iterations.听
Functional Skills:听
- Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action, preferably with experience in application and platform modernization听
- Advanced ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to product development teams with proven experience in data-driven decision making.听
- Solid understanding of and experience working in a technology development environment听
- Experience operating in an environment driven by KPIs where you had the accountability to determine the best course of action to meet your goals.听
- Ability to contribute towards data-driven decision making on complex and innovative concepts.听
- Ability to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunities.听
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.听
- Experience at breaking down work for iterative and incremental delivery.听
- Effective at stakeholder management and transparent communication听
- Conduct and participate in product scoping, discovery and framing, and inceptions providing technical input and helps translate user features into system design.
- Hands on experience and accountability architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering large scale distributed systems and/or applications for the cloud
- Research and stay abreast of technology trends and IT best practices, with a focus on continuous learning and possible application to the business.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, REST principles, databases, and security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on understanding overall business issues and creating innovative solutions.
Education and Experience:听
- 4-year bachelor鈥檚 degree (Preferred)听
- 5 or more years of experience (Preferred)听
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
