As a Health and Benefits Associate you will contribute to a wide variety of projects involving the design, financing and ongoing management of the full spectrum of health and benefit programs. You will support the project manager on select projects that focus on the evaluation of self-funded medical and dental provider networks. This will involve interfacing with vendors and key clients internally and externally, creating client deliverables, and ensuring quality standards are met. You will have the opportunity to significantly grow your health and benefits business acumen as well as your financial, project management and client relationship skills by working on cutting edge projects alongside leaders in the industry.
This position is remote and open to candidates from anywhere in the United States.
Materially contribute to core health and benefits projects supporting the evaluation and management of group medical and dental provider networks. Responsibilities include:

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 USD.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.

The Role
This position is remote and open to candidates from anywhere in the United States.
Materially contribute to core health and benefits projects supporting the evaluation and management of group medical and dental provider networks. Responsibilities include:
- Partnering with client service team leader to deliver superior project management
- Providing superior client service in response to day to day issues and questions
- Preparation for client meetings (prepare materials, etc.)
- Supporting vendor procurement, implementation, and optimization activities
- Collaborating with financial, actuarial, and analytics (FAA) team with identifying carrier and/or client concerns, and escalating and informing necessary parties
- Conducting review of client deliverables to ensure alignment to client objectives, leverage of optimal
- WTW services and solutions, and adherence to WTW professional excellence standards
- Contributing to placement activities by tracking clients/project assignments of varying size and complexity
- Supporting broader placement strategic projects and around tools for carrier/vendor renewals and carrier/vendor marketings (Requests for Information or Requests for Proposal)
- Partnering with Global Delivery Centers to deliver superior analyses and project management
- Collaborating with Client Service teams and other H&B Communities of Expertise (CoEs)
- Identifying opportunities for efficiency in proposal processes and proposes alternate approaches to further streamline workflows
The Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in professional services, ideally gained in a benefit consulting/brokerage firm or health underwriting / actuarial function or provider network area of an insurance company
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time and within budget
- Strong client service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner
- Proven ability to identify and resolve issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical, creative and integrative skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
- State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining
- Pursuit of CEBS designation, or health and welfare actuarial / underwriting training encouraged
