As an actuarial intern, you will gain a basic understanding of Allstate鈥檚 property and casualty business lines.聽 Working closely with experienced analytical professionals, you will be accountable for timely completion of assignments involving auto, homeowners, specialty lines or business insurance, contributing to overall growth and profit goals of major initiatives.聽
This is a (home based-remote) virtual summer 2025 internship that will run for 12 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts reviews of rates for assigned states and product lines, analyzing profit and loss results, past and current trends, projecting underwriting losses and reviewing competitiveness of rates聽
- Completes detailed analyses, makes recommendations, and prepares rate package proposals for key business partners聽
- Prepares internal and external communications, including interactions with regulatory authorities and management that will describe and support rules and rate changes聽
Job Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor鈥檚 degree or Graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics or related field AND be in strong academic standing; must be a full time student the semester following the internship聽
- Pursuing actuarial designation聽
- Can analyze data and review analysis while demonstrating strong decision-making skills聽
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office: 聽Intermediate 鈥� Excel, Intermediate 鈥� Word, Beginner 鈥� Outlook, Basic 鈥� PowerPoint; standard knowledge in the use of data sources聽
- Strong written and verbal communication skills聽
