Comparenow.com, an insurance price comparison website in the U.S., will now operate as compare.com, simplifying its name to better align with its services.
The company, which has operated as comparenow.com since it launched in March 2013, felt its recent success in signing 40 insurance companies to its panel, and future geographic and product vertical expansion plans, made now the appropriate time to create a simpler identity.
Accordeing to CEO Andrew Rose, the name change does not impact the products and services the company offers. “The only thing that has changed is the name, which is now more consistent with our customer proposition: simplicity, efficiency and value,” he said.
Compare.com works by allowing users fill out one series of questions to see a compilation of quotes, listed from least expensive to most expensive. According to the company, the key difference between other insurance websites and compare.com is that compare.com offers accurate rates, not estimates or calculations. The users may then choose a policy which is most compatible with their needs and purchase on the web, over the phone or with an agent.
Compare.com is a limited liability corporation headquartered in Richmond, Va., majority owned by the UK auto insurer Admiral Group, LLC. Compare.com currently offers car insurance comparison services for US consumers in 48 states.
