No, actually no they DON’T expose any weakness. it’s called “normal” weather patterns that shift every year, decade, century or millennium. Things get hotter and colder and wetter and drier all as part of the normal process of our planet’s life.
Didn’t they seed the clouds to milk the event causing more rain than they would have had? It would make for an interesting exercise for insurers to work out an exclusion or hefty coinsurance, unless notified in advance. Something along those lines.
