Kickoff the internship鈥痑t鈥痑鈥痬ulti-day session with other interns across the local region to network and learn about鈥疻TW鈥痜rom various leaders amongst the Retirement business. Throughout the summer,鈥痚ngage in a鈥痳obust鈥痶raining program鈥痺ithin your local office鈥痠n order to鈥痚nhance your understanding of basic pension consulting.鈥��Grow with mentorship.鈥�
You will have close interaction鈥痑nd support鈥痶hroughout the summer鈥痜rom鈥痽our very own Lead Retirement Consultant mentor.鈥疶his鈥痗onsultant will鈥痺ork with you on client assignments, give you an inside look at how the business works, and advise you on future career growth.

Accepted applicants will be eligible for a comprehensive鈥痑ctuarial鈥痚xam study program, including paid study hours and exam coaching to assist in attaining鈥痑n鈥痑ccredited鈥痑ctuarial鈥痙esignation.鈥�Love your work.
鈥�痀ou will partner with鈥痗onsultants to provide鈥痶echnical鈥痑ctuarial鈥痑nd鈥痗onsulting support鈥痮n projects鈥痩ike:鈥�- Designing, funding, pricing, and the implementation and management of retirement programs鈥�
- Preparing and assistance with the delivery of client presentations and communications鈥�
- Competitive benchmarking analysis of benefit plan designs鈥��
- Corporate restructuring and capital enhancement initiatives (demutualization, securitization, mergers & acquisitions)鈥�
- Forecasting鈥痜uture pension plan costs鈥�
- Performing鈥痑nnual pension (qualified and nonqualified) and post-retirement medical valuations for a variety of clients鈥��
- Assisting鈥痺ith completion of plan reporting and filing requirements鈥��
- Performing鈥痯lan administrative tasks such as completing benefit calculations, reviewing plan documents and SPDs, and producing benefit statements鈥��
- Analyzing de-risking鈥痮ptions for鈥痙efined benefit plans (bulk lump sums, retiree annuity purchases, plan terminations)
Role Requirements:
- Progress towards a bachelor鈥檚 or master鈥檚 degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or any other major with significant quantitative course work, and minimum GPA of 3.0鈥��
- Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills (analyst type of internship preferred)鈥���
- Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed the standards of the client鈥���
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment鈥��
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues at all levels鈥��
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel鈥��
- Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams highly preferred
- Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely and without Visa sponsorship
