Job Summary:
This job is responsible for investigating, processing, and settling claims in the first party property appraisal process. 聽This individual evaluates appraisal demands, works with internal and external vendors to complete the process, and applies coverages to the results. 聽

鈥� Summarizes documents and enters into claim systems notes, documents a claim file with notes, evaluations and decision-making process
鈥� Researches and responds to moderately complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues
鈥� Notifies insured of exposure over the policy limit, organizes and reconciles bills, virtually inspects and estimates contents damage in a dwelling
鈥� Investigates, reviews, determines and verifies coverage/policy information, provides coverage explanation to customer
鈥� Conducts subrogation investigations
Education
鈥� 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience
鈥� 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)
Supervisory Responsibilities
鈥� This job does not have supervisory duties.
Education & Experience (in lieu)
鈥� In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $47,440.00 - 81,902.50 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

A day in the life of an Inside Appraisal Adjuster:
- Spend your day handling claims virtually from home
- Handle escalated claims files that are being put through the insurance appraisal process
- Conduct a thorough coverage and handling investigation聽of the loss and ensure the claim is eligible for appraisal.
- Communicate empathetically with customers and help them through their claim process in a fast, fair and easy manner.
- Settle claims with customers once the appraisal award is executed

You're a great match for this role if you:
- A High School Diploma/GED or higher (Bachelor鈥檚 Degree preferred)
- 2+ years of previous experience handling exterior (roof, siding) property insurance claims
- Have prior experience using estimating software like Xactimate for both structural and contents estimating
- Value providing an effortless customer service experience
- You enjoy the ability to work independently starting your day from home
