A great opportunity to join our team as a Security Risk Analyst. The successful candidate will work as part of our Houston-based Alert:24 Crisis Support team within WTW’s Crisis Management division.

Alert:24 is WTW’s in-house security risk advisory and 24-hour crisis support practice. Alert:24 provide intelligence, consultancy and training solutions to help our global client base identify, monitor, and manage their security risks. With three operations centers around the world, the team also provides clients 24/7 response triage, advocacy, and support.
The successful candidate will be joining the Alert:24 Crisis Support team as a Security Risk Analyst. The primary responsibilities for the role are:
The successful candidate will be working as part of a small, specialist global team who provide a 24/7 client service through 3 teams based in Sydney (Aus), Houston (US) and Reading (UK).
As part of this role, you will be required to communicate directly with clients, security and assistance providers as well as internal stakeholders, helping clients during crises and emergencies. You will be involved in the day-to-day monitoring of global security developments, using social media, open-source reporting, and purpose-made risk platforms, to identify threats to our clients based on their risk profiles and exposures, alerting them as necessary. In order to support clients, you will work closely with colleagues and internal teams to conduct research and write custom reports as well as provide mitigating security advice. You will be supported by an experienced management team in the execution of your responsibilities.
This position is on a shift pattern requiring both weekend and weekday work; however, all shift work is during daytimehours only. As a 24/7/365 rota, working on holidays is required, although holiday shifts are rotated among team members to the best extent possible. Occassional overtime opportunity is available at an additional rate.
You must be able to demonstrate that you are comfortable working with basic office software, apps, and communications systems. A background in global security operations and/or intelligence is preferred, although any relevant experience or knowledge of crisis management, including relating to medical, natural and cyber risks, is advantageous. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player.
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

This is an onsite role based in our Houston office.
The Role
The successful candidate will be joining the Alert:24 Crisis Support team as a Security Risk Analyst. The primary responsibilities for the role are:
- Supporting WTW Crisis Management insurance clients through the security incident timeline, notifying designated third-party assistance providers and other stakeholders to ensure the timely response to insured security events.
- Monitoring current and emerging threats and geo-political developments, which concern our clients.
- Providing timely intelligence and analysis products and services to clients and internal teams.
- Producing a range of intelligence products to help clients understand and mitigate risks to their people, assets, and operations across the globe.
- Maintaining a high-level of coordination and collaboration across our global hubs, ensuring 24/7/365 continuity of support for our clients.
- Supporting our team of consultants to provide a range of client-facing security and crisis management , training, and consultancy services.

The Requirements
- Degree in a political science, history, and/or any relevant field or security discipline is desirable, but not essential.
- Background in intelligence, security, or risk management is a desirable, but not essential.
- Prior experience in security operations center and/or related call center or other monitoring group ops, are preferred but not essential.
- Advanced writing and analytical skills are essential.
- Ability to clearly and comfortably communicate with clients and stakeholders as well as give presentations and webinars to small-large groups.
- Able to work effectively in a small team.
- A keen interest and solid knowledge of current affairs, history as well as global and regional geopolitical developments.
- Knowledge and understanding of major global industries, ie. oil & gas, aviation, maritime, etc. preferred.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and handle emergency calls/situations.
- Strong IT skills would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications expected; expertise in PowerPoint and Excel would be helpful, but not essential.
- Bi-lingual/multi-lingual capabilities would be an asset, but not essential.
