Associate Legal Counsel
Incline P&C, a quickly growing multi-carrier insurance group, is now hiring an Associate Legal Counsel to join their legal team in Austin, Texas. This position reports directly to the Chief Legal Officer and Senior Legal Counsel to assist with contract review and administration and to provide legal support to various departments. Responsibilities:
- Provide general legal support to managers,executives, and internal staff
- Research and review insurance regulatory requirements in multiple states
- Interact with various state departments of insurance
- Draft and review reinsurance and Managing General Agent contracts as well as other related agreements
- Negotiates MGA and other related contracts
- Ensure company compliance with various state regulatory agencies
- Advises internal staff on legal and risk management issues
- Advises staff on legal matters on interpretation and application of various regulatory requirements
- Field legal inquiries from external parties, analyze related legal issues
- Assist with management and reporting of insurance claims and litigation regarding the same
Requirements:
- Must be licensed to practice law in at least one US state.
- If not licensed in Texas, applicant must be eligible or obtain Texas license within one year of employment
- 2-3 years of contract experience in the Å˽ðÁ«´«Ã½Ó³» industry preferred
- Multi-state insurance regulatory experience
- Excellent writing and editing skills are a must
- Keen attention to detail
- Flexible and enthusiastic team player
