We are seeking a dynamic who will work closely with brokers and agencies across Wisconsin to expand our reach and educate brokers on the benefits of self-funded plans. This role requires a seasoned professional who understands the healthcare brokerage landscape and is passionate about revolutionizing healthcare for Wisconsin businesses.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with healthcare brokers (at a health plan, as an ex-broker, TPA, etc.) and is well-versed in self-funding, the pitfalls of fully insured plans, and how Direct Primary Care and free-market care can be transformative. Success in this role will be defined by the ability to drive RFPs and convert them into closed leads, ultimately contributing to our mission to reduce healthcare costs for businesses across the state.

- Persuasively educate brokers on the advantages of self-funding, emphasizing why fully insured plans are problematic and how DPC and free-market care offer better solutions for employers.
- Establish and cultivate relationships with healthcare brokers and agencies across Wisconsin, serving as a trusted resource and advocate for Self Fund Health's offerings.
- Actively pursue and generate RFPs from brokered clients; manage the sales process through to closing to ensure a high conversion rate.
- Represent Self Fund Health in relevant events and discussions, increasing brand presence and staying informed of market trends.
- Embody a genuine commitment to improving healthcare across Wisconsin, with a focus on reducing costs and providing better outcomes for businesses and their employees.
- Work closely with internal teams to continuously refine and improve our offerings and approaches based on broker and client feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of broker interactions, proposals, and sales pipeline progression in our CRM system.
- Wisconsin-based, with an in-depth understanding of Wisconsin's healthcare and broker landscape.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare brokerage, TPA, or a related field with a proven sales record.
- Strong understanding of self-funded plans, DPC, free-market care, and the pitfalls of fully insured plans.
- Demonstrated success in sales, with excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems for tracking sales activities and managing the pipeline.
- Committed to Self Fund Health's mission of transforming healthcare in Wisconsin, with a drive to make a difference in healthcare costs and outcomes.
- Previous experience as a healthcare broker, with an existing network in Wisconsin's broker community.
- Demonstrated ability to drive complex sales cycles in a high-stakes, consultative environment.
