In this role you will partner with local client teams to develop and deliver health and welfare compliance solutions to clients. You will be working both directly with clients and in coordination with our broader Health & Benefits practice, as well as our Technical Services Group and Retirement practice.

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation.
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $165,000-$175,000 USD per year.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus

Performance Objectives:
Financial
Partner with local client teams and regional compliance leaders to identify opportunities to cross-sell new products and services by working with Market Leaders, Sales and Client Service teams to identify, develop and close strategic sales opportunities
Clients
- As a senior colleague, support multiple client projects involving federal health and welfare benefit plan design and strategy compliance issues
- Work on client deliverables in coordination with junior and mid-level colleagues
- Finalize and present quality deliverables to clients
- Partner with client service teams to become a trusted advisor for clients and provide consistent, superior relationship management
- Research various compliance and tax issues, draft responses and memoranda and assist client meetings and presentations   
- Lead compliance audits and benefits administration/process improvement reviews

- Serve as a subject matter expert on health and welfare laws and regulations
- Perform technical review of work products developed by junior and mid-level colleagues
- Contribute to the development of new tools and approaches related to compliance consulting

- Mentor junior colleagues
- Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
- Work closely with regional compliance leader to assist in increasing compliance related activity and growth across respective region(s)
The Requirements
- Juris Doctorate required and minimum of 10 years relevant experience within employee benefits
- Proven experience and success in employee health and welfare benefit consulting with a focus on compliance.  Prior experience in a professional services firm, insurance company or legal environment preferred
- Deep knowledge of IRC, ERISA, COBRA, PPACA, MHPAEA, FMLA, HIPAA and other relevant laws and regulations affecting employee benefit plans 
- A broad understanding of human capital strategy and the ability to contribute to cross-practice client engagements
- Experience in managing multiple people and a high volume of projects/activities and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
- Proven ability to recognize and diagnose issues, provide guidance in clear and concise fashion, work in teams, and leverage the resources of other related practices to address client challenges
- Material client-facing experience with public speaking experience
