DUTIES:
- Lead Associate within the Å˽ðÁ«´«Ã½Ó³», Consulting & Technology line of business at Willis Towers Watson US LLC in Atlanta, GA.
- Function as a Life Å˽ðÁ«´«Ã½Ó³» Actuarial Analyst, working as a member or a leader of several project teams supporting insurance company clients on a wide variety of engagements covering topics such as financial modeling, financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory issues, litigation, pricing, and product development, while gaining tremendous exposure to all facets of life insurance operations.
- Perform actuarial analysis, develop actuarial tools, and prepare high quality work product to support recommendations to project managers.
- Work collaboratively with others on project teams and share knowledge and experience with other colleagues.
- Prepare drafts of client correspondence and participate in meetings with clients.
- Work independently on assignments for more senior associates or lead parts of large projects to meet client engagement objectives.
- Review peer work product as a quality control measure and mentor junior colleagues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or a related quantitative field
- Two (2) years of experience in a related actuarial role at a life insurance company, consulting firm, or financial services organization.
- Strong technical skills in at least one of the following: Microsoft Excel with VBA, SQL, or R.
- Experience utilizing actuarial software such as GGY AXIS, Risk Agility, MG-ALFA, Moses, Prophet, or Polysystems.
- Experience working with at least one specific U.S. life insurance and/or U.S. annuity product line.
- Experience in at least one of the following functional areas as applied to the life insurance industry: predictive analytics / data science, financial reporting, financial modeling, mergers & acquisitions, or product development / pricing.
- Exam progress towards designation as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
